I can not help with authenticity , But it is a lovely medal. I see from a brief search these came in several classes. What class would this example fall under?

    Hello John,

It's an excellent 2nd Class Albert Order. It is the equivalent of the EK2 for Junior Officer rank.

The seller is a top-notch, straight-forward person of whom I would highly recommend.

It looks like the pin on the backside has been repaired at some point of time in the past. But that's not the important thing about this piece. The enamel condition is excellent on this example from what I can tell.

I'm looking for one with the EK2 as a 2-place medal bar. Otherwise I would have purchased this one for myself.

    Best Regards,

    Alan
