Battle Damaged Camo Helmet

Article about: Hi guys , a question often asked my many of us when we get hold of a rusty or relic type lid is do ya clean it or leave it as it is , i personaly take each helmet in this condition on its me

    As TRT states, it the rarer Model 1918 steel helmet, and with remnants of its original clip type chinstrap to boot !...great find at a great price !...i think you have done right by giving it a sympathetic clean, it is what i would of done. IMO it has upgraded the helmet from 'Relic' to a collectable example of this rare model of the Stahlhelm.
