Bavarian Merit Award 3rd class

I am looking for help on this medal. I do not think the ribbon is correct, but am now wondering about the medal also. Any thoughts or opinions are helpful.

The ribbon is certainly wrong, it belongs on an iron cross 2nd class.

The Bavarian medal should have a ribbon like this

cross looks correct. Are the central medaillons separatly applied?
