Good Day, Friends...
I've come across this gorgeous example and just had to share the photos with you...
Besides the overall excellent condition, the Broad Needle is something I've never seen on one of these...
Opinions, Thoughts?
cheers, Glenn

A very nice looking badge Glenn.
I think the barrel hinge is associated more with a 1918-45 produced badge so a nice broad pin would fit nicely in this time frame.
What is interesting is that horizontal die flaw on the reverse of the badge.
Cheers

Very cool Glenn, I've never seen the wide needle like that either. Would have scared me.

A nice badge. I have an immaculate silver in this style with the same hardware & flaw. There are a few variations in hardware with this particular type of badge, one can be seen in the following 2013 thread:

At the time of the above thread this was the first time that I had seen the flat pin without any form of tensioning. I have since seen several. Note the aforementioned die flaw.
Regards
Brett

Such intricate detail....no fake would go to such effort for a normal badge. The wide pin is unusual, but I can't imagine anything being amiss on this fine badge. An excellent pick up and, apparently, a quite uncommon one as well!
