Default A Couple Imperial EK's: Authentic Pieces?

Hi, all. I was just looking for a little help with these two crosses I saw recently.
The first EK2 looks okay to me but I am not certain nor am I sure the ribbon is original.
The 2nd cross is odd and would appear to be a WWI EK1 that is marked 800 on the pin. It is unusually large...looking to be about 1 1/2 times the size of a regular issue cross (pic shown for comparison.)
If authentic, a thought that has been put forth about this 2nd cross is that the original owner might have been a higher ranking military official who wished it to appear larger than a regular EK I and had this commissioned by a private jeweler.
Any thoughts on these two pieces are most appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Adam

The EK2 looks fine, no problems there, not sure about the ribbon, doesn't look like an original from the photo.
I have no idea about the EK1, never seen one this size before. Hopefully Greg can shed some light on it..........?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

The Ek2 looks fine but I am really not a fan of the 1st class cross.
I have seen that style pin before on a cross posted on the WAF forum and it
was judged to be a fake. The larger size is more consistant with a ww2 era cross.
A ww2 produced cross would use a more standard coke bottle pin as every maker
was trying to conform to the standard design.

Thanks for the help, guys. That larger EK was going cheap at auction but I think I'll pass and maybe pick-up the EK2. I'm torn about the ribbon, though. My friend agrees it might be repro but my other friend's dad (a long time collector) says it's good. You have thoughts on it, Greg? I suppose it doesn't matter much since I could probably get an original ribbon pretty cheap somewhere.

    Thanks again!
    Best,
    Adam

    Adam,
It's really hard to judge the ribbon from the picture provided.
You would need to see a close shot of both edges of the ribbon. If it's a repo,
it's a nice one. I wouldn't have any issues with it.
