they are so cheap for what they stand for.
thanks harry i dont mean to be nosey but wherabouts in cyprus are you ,me and the missus got married in paphos and we went back in october after 13 years ,love the place
I obtained one of each grade. The cross w/o swords is hallmarked 'W' and the one for widows is hallmarked St. & L. The cross with swords is unmarked. I also have the award document for the one with swords, and another bit of ribbon as well. (For Gefr. Steinmetz I also have his EK2 award from 1944, as well as his harbor pass for Nantes and a pass to leave the hospital, which is undated. I can post these on another thread if needed, don't want to hijack this one.)
Forgot the award document -
I could go crazy trying to keep up with all the makers and configurations . . . oh, wait, I already have....
post away guys its not a problem for me ,and it saves me searching ,very nice roger
You've a nice one, with a nice marking to boot. You could make a whole display just with these crosses. Like Harry said, consider their history and significance, and they don't cost much.
Good looking find there, the ribbon looks good i think they look better with a bit of age!..
