    Hi all,

Postman must really hate me the last few days Just received this beauty. The EKII is marked with a clear "O" on the ring - I can't find a reference to that maker though, is it an unknown?

As a bonus, the EK came with a mini stickpin as well, I will need to get my good camera out to do nice close ups of that one.

Very nice cross. I would put some chance to the idea, that this clearly stamped O is in fact badly stamped G.

Interesting idea... you made me stare at it for a long time, with a magnifying glass.

It is a perfectly formed O, without any other nicks or marks close to it, so it would have be an awful G punch But anything is possible of course.

When you look at first photo, mark is just too small. As it was only half of it. The second supporting fact - this is Godet core. And I´d say the Godet frame as well.

    Very nice looking cross.
I personally don't know of any "O" marked crosses. I have seen a "D", however it used
more of a "KO" style core. Yours sure does look like a Godet.

    Thanks all!

Chopperman - I found a reference to "O" crosses being an unknown maker on another site, hence my original comment. I have only just started studying cores, so definitely defer to the much bigger reserve of knowledge on all your parts. I also found a discussion of an O marked cross on Wehrmacht Awards forum, with someone again commenting that it could be a Godet.

Can you PM me with a link to that discussion? I looked through the EK reference
thread that they have and did not see an "O".

    Thanks,
    Greg
