Original for me. Possibly made between the wars but not a fake IMO.

It is also quite light, I must say. I compare it with an EKII WWI that I know is original and this one is very light.

Although not strictly a 1957 replacement piece (no new design to rid the swastika) , IMO I think this one of those replacements for veterans available alongside the 57ers during the 1960's...a nice piece I would have in my collection !

Steve-I must belive what you say. This piece is soooo light, I cannot belive it can be a WWI original piece. I have another WWI EKI and the weight difference is oh so different. Sorry about my spelling: It is already going on half past midnight and I'm jamming Joe Walsh's new album. For the millioneth time.
