EK1 screwback

Hi guys ,

Would you be kind, and comment on this one ?
It has the 800 stamp, but the threaded piece (tube) is fixed at the cross !
The soldering is pretty cruel too !
Is that a post war sign, or just the way some crosses were made, others with the threaded screw fixed to the cross ?
I kind of like this cross patina :-)

I don't have any issues with it. The cross is good
and all of the hardware looks to be original. I would
guess the poor soldering might be a period repair.
