I picked up these medals on eBay a few months ago, but as to the maker of the Iron Cross, I have not a clue. There are no makers marks at all. The Merit Cross 3rd class and 9 year service medal are both in fine condition too.

The EK has a mm "S" as far as I can tell. Which suggests Heinrich Schneider, Schwartz or Sedlazek ! I don't know if anybody has decided on which one it is ?!
It has the same core used by Godet , very beautiful and defined !
BTW I have one just like it, but solo ;-) see pics below .

Notice how the Bavarian award takes precedent over the Prussian EK II !
During WW1 this was often the case with contingents from the various Duchy/Principalities and Kingdoms within Germany, especially the Bavarians.......
These awards/medals are quite inexpensive to collect and still easily found on E-Bay, but beware bars bearing more less common/excotic medals, some unscroupulous sellers are mix n matching bars, with copies/repros included.
