    I an considering this one .
    1870 with 25 year leaves, but is it original, that's the question ???
    I can't tell and there is only these pictures available ! The seller offers return on originality !
    What do you think, appreciate any inputs :-)

    I don't think it's a fake but I have a feeling it might be a later produced piece, not necessarily made during the Franco-Prussian war. I can't help with the Spange though.

    I'm sure Greg or some of the others can confirm or not.

    If I should have an 1870 EK (and I shall one day :-), then it should definitely be period made !!

    Hi Marc,
    I think the cross is a good one. It is the awarded
    style but the details are pretty poor. If I were to guess,
    I would guess that this one dates more towards 1895.

    I have not seen that style of spange hardware before.
    Interesting variation. The ribbon is newer. Probably
    really new.

    Hmmm, I guess I will pass on this one then !

    Thanks for the advise, I will look out for more and get more knowledge before I buy :-) these crosses has a more serious price tack attached ;-)
