Ernst Röhm lookalike in a photo

Got this photo recently from a guy who gets his stuff from Bavaria, thought that the fella in the middle looked a bit like Ernst Rohm, maybe it's just my imagination?

This is a photo postcard, there's no name, or writing on the back, but it looks like it was once in someone's album. Looks pretty similar to me, maybe someone who knows the rank insignia would be able to figure this out. BTW, they are all holding shotguns, looks like a hunting party rather than a war picture. I find it curious that he would be in the center of the photo, it seems like that is where you would put the most important person in the group if you were taking a picture.

Maybe the first shot is just from an earlier time - my face has puffed out a bit since my football, rugby, and baseball playing days, as my wife is constantly willing to point out as I reach for a second slice of pie after dinner. Cheers, Jim G.

You have that problem too? As far as the photo. They look similar, but IMHO, I don't think it's him.

I don't think he looks at all like Ernst Röhm. Just my opinion.

I think the guy on the right with the staff looks more like him

At a glance they appear similar. But closer inspection shows the individual to have
bigger cheek bones, sharper chin, larger earlobes than Rohm has. Rohm has a bit of a dimple in his chin this man does not.
