Default Ersatz Prussian enlisted Helmet in Felt

    Hello,

This came in a little over a week ago to add to the collection.

I have original kokardes for it, but will unfortunately need to search for a decent original chinstrap with brass fittings to place on it.

The eagle sits a bit crooked on it. One of the brass grommet holes is a little lower than the other one.

No markings visible, and no maker's paper label inside the shell either.

    Best Regards,

    Alan

    Great looking Prussian Haube.
I am amazed at how well felt has stood the test of time on some of these.

    Congrats Alan

A nice one Alan. I have one very similar but without liner. I think the add placement of the fittings can partly be attributed to the shell shrinking over time.

    Another nice helmet.
I look forward to seeing it once you've repaired it's few issues.
