The "Germany" signifes that this knife was imported to the United States after WW1 when this style knife was on issue and sold privately for the use of German troops during WW1. The crowned fractur acceptance stamp on the ricasso shows that it was inspected for service but with so many on hand available for use during WW1, this one may have stayed in stores and was sold off after the war.
It is a nice, desirable knife and in good, above average condition.
