    Hello,
    please have a look at my flyer. The looks almost unused, hardly rust.
    In addition, the wings look strange. The transfer to the body is very hard. On images on the Internet, the transition is soft and fluid.
    Are they really German?
    Did you ever see something like that?

    Looks real to me Dick. Several countries made these during WWI. I'm not sure, but I think only Germany and France marked theirs. Are there any stampings on it? Depending on the country of manufacture, these were made in lengths between 10.16 cm and 12 cm, so the length of your falls in that parameter. The surface finish, rust, etc. of yours looks exactly like what I've seen on ones at the National WWI museum. I think you have an original WWI piece. I have no idea if it's Swiss, German, French, or Italian.

    Not easy to find in France. Some times the marking is on the larger part.

    Modern fake...
    I will post some pics and you will see one genuine ground dug up.
