German dress bayonet. Is it converted, or just a poor example?

Article about: I acquired this dress bayonet recently, and I cannot make my mind up about it. So the question is... is it just a poor example of a dress bayonet, or has it been fashioned into a trench knif

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for all the information. At least I now know it isn't imperial vintage.
    Cheers,
    Steve.

My sincere apologies, I had intended that answer for another thread. It was completely incorrect for your item. Your knife does appear to have been made as an above average quality trench knife

I'll go sit in the corner now.....
