Today a wonderful piece came in our shop, I have to show it to my warrelics-guys.
2 guys came in (65-70yrs old),
    which brought in a gasmask.
We expected a Canadian WWII gasmask, but it turned out that the unlce of this guys, brought back a German gasmask from WWI.
The piece is complete and in very good condition.
It also got the 2nd filter in the container.
    Awesome piece, eh?

Very nice and rare piece. Pitty the bands are missing, but i geuss that's just me being picky. Don't see many wwI German gasmasks show up in this condition often. There are some empty canisters found now and then, but complete sets are getting realy rare and they don't come cheap.
By chance any regimental markings on the inside of the mask, or on the canister it self?
Great it still has the spare filter and the Klarscheiben, and all the labels in good condition. I like it very much.

It's nice to see that this stuff is still out there.
The great majority of my collection has come from dealers or ebay. But I do
have a few pieces that I got from (someones grandson or nephew) To me,
these are the pieces that are the most fun to find.
