Is it normal for German, Bulgarian, & Hungarian medals to appear on the same medal bar? It just seems odd to me. Aside from an 1914 EKII & a Hindenburg cross, the medal bar below contains a WWI Hungarian Combatants Medal and a Bulgarian War Medal for Front Line Combatants. Thoughts anyone?

It's perfectly normal and quite common.

All German WW I vets were also eligible for the Hungarian, Bulgarian and Austrian WW I commemorative medals, and many applied for one, two or even all three of those.

You can find a number of examples in my thread on the 1914/18 Ehrenkreuz, for example:

    The 1914/1918 Ehrenkreuz

By the way: The Hungarian and Bulgarian medals are mounted the wrong way around. This was perhaps done on purpose, so that all three display the years 1914(15) - 1918.

Absolutely agree. With the ribbon bars of the German veterans of the IWW exactly the same thing happens.
