I agree. She made a good effort and we are only
out $15. I took her out for lunch yesterday to pay
her back.
Very good of you. My wife admitted she will never buy me a helmet, for two reasons: 1) she has no idea what's real and what's fake, and 2) she refuses to spend that kind of money. Guess I can't argue with that. So I spend it for her!

Greg:
You better keep her. She sounds like she supports your hobbies.
My wife. (I love her dearly), but I quit showing her what I bring home. All she says is "what did that cost you?"
She just doesnot understand. I suppose it is that chinese culture thing.

Re: Grand cross of the Iron cross
"What did that cost you?" Must be the universal wife question immediately upon her learning that a new item was acquired and you make no mention on the price in the initial unveiling. My wife buys swiffer WetJet pads to clean the hardwood floors. Spends I dunno how much on them. But as soon as she swiffer
s the floor, you could run a white glove across the floor and it come up filthy. So what the hell is she spending so much on swiffer pads for??!! But we get chastised for buying "old junk". Marriage is a wonderful institution, that sometimes makes you think you really are in an institution.
