    Prost ! Steve.
"The German Army is the perfectly adapted, perfectly running Machine. The difference is that the Germans are organised with a view to War...with the cold, hard, practical and business-like purpose of winning victories."

Sorry, Kevin - it was a quote from the Australian movie "Crocodile Dundee" ..... funny if you know it, puzzling if you don't!

I forgot to tell you why!
The finition in general; at the outside the "shellack" look!
The leather of the linner; one would expect a finner quality of leather, and the silk ain't silk.
The brass reinforcement on the front visor is badly finished, also the green underlay shows bad finition( waves).Same thing with the red underlay of the neck visor.
The stars holding the spike foot plate should be retained by bolts and no plit pins.
And what i noticed on the first pic is the lenght of the scales on the chin strap, they look to long to me.
I sure ther is more to say about it, when better (detailed !) pictures are provided.
    cheers
