Also ...someone is showing interest in buying this but I am sure if I would seperate it from the bayonet. All the items are from same estate...I have a easier time letting go of the US items..the german helmet, bayonet and french bayonet harder to split up!...
Any idea what I should ask for on the helmet by itself?
Just found out the guy who brought this back was later a Bridg. General and earned the silver star as a captain in WWI !...pretty neat
