Is this shoulder board original to the period? I bought it years ago as an original greatcoat board. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is the earlier style, before the cipher change. I have seen ornate ones for private purchase examples, but this looks good with my basic knowledge on the subject.

It's not an overcoat board with that dark blue backing. An overcoat strap would have gray backing. It's for a Rock.
