    Hello,

I would like to know a bit more about this oval medal which I've often seen on the net with different attachments or sizes. I saw it as table medal, mounted with ribbon or like a neckchain or keyring. They come in different materials too.
I am wondering if anybody has genuine samples to share here.
    thanks
    Regards

Zeller, IMO this medallion is a "Patriotic" item, given when you subscribed into a fund "To help German POW's" (What it actually states on the medal), as Dimas has stated probably through an organisation such as the "Deutches Rote Kreuz", which provided funds to helpi in sending food/clothing parcels to POW's.....I should imagine the larger the donation the bigger/fancier the medallion ! A number of cities/States gave medals to homecoming POW's after the Great War...see here for discussion http://warrelics.eu/forum/imperial-g...w-medal-23101/ Hope this helps.
    Prost ! Steve.
