I have a few Imperial EK1s to go with my Third Reich stuff, I think I like them because you can get a really nice condition one for as little as £30.

I have found one that intrigues me. The number '4' in 1914 is a different font to all the rest I have seen, or have in my collection. I will post images but apologise as they are ripped from the net.

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I quite like this cross.

Not sure what you mean by "upright 4" as they are all "upright". If you are referring to a "closed 4", then that is not a good thing.

Yes Ralph that is what I meant. I could only go by the terminology the guy used.

Another photo for the reference folder 👍👍👍

Ralph brings up a good point in that when we see a "closed 4" in the date,
that automaticly sends up a red flag. There are some convincing fakes that
use a "closed 4" in the date however those crosses also have a overly large crown.
    Yours does not.

I spent the last hour and a half going through old posts and datebases trying to
find a match to yours. I found two crosses that look to match yours. Both were
2nd class crosses marked "KO". KO used at least 4 different cores and I was
never aware of one that had the closed 4 date. They seem to be very very uncommon.
Especially when KO crosses themselves are one of the most commonly seen crosses.

    Thanks for the information Chopperman.

Sorry for my naievity (and poor spelling) but could this be a genuine cross like the seller is saying? Would it be common for a faker to make a 3 part construction, magnetic cross?

    Cheers
