Hello Marc,
Well, now you are half way to finding out who the maker of your cross is. We now know who it is not.
Now you just have to figure out who it is. There is also FW, EW, RW, W, and possibly more.
I am sure that Greg will be along in the near future and hopefully will add to this.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
I believe the mark is Luftwaffe.

Not the best pictures but the cross is clearly marked E W.

Core, corners and the way the small ring is soldered match exactly :-)
