I prefer worn pieces that appeals to me, like you guys, with patina . I just prefer the unchanged ones I guess . But I totally follow your drift about character and personal touch on the altered ones :-)

This is the only CD 800 core type. Google it for evidence. KO replacement ribbon ring, as KO crosses were produced in huge amounts, is quite common choice when recompleting the cross. And, btw I think KO has more than 3 cores. I know about two unique (one of them is on your photo, that piece on far left) and at least three generic.
