I agree, this is my favorite degree of patina too ! Dont fancy mint crosses to much.
My very first WW1 EK 1 was a S-W too ! Still one of my favorite makers, making very good quality crosses .

Very nice cross. My first EK1 had same generic core, although it was KO maker. I donĀ“t know if yours is precisely from 1917, but I think it is wartime awarded piece for sure.

Chopperman, unimarc, miro, and Walkwolf: Thank you very much for your kind comments and I am glad that you like the cross as much as I do. Funny to see for how many collectors was a S-W the very first EK I.
Hopefully I will be able to buy him a brother or two... or a dozen of them. Something tells me it is impossible to stop by only one cross. :-)

Before 2 days i had a big surprise in my post .A friend of mine made me very happy and made me a gift.A imperial Ek.My first one imperial.I wanted last period to buy one , was close enough to buy one but something stoped me.Until seeing my surprise.I never told that i wanted one and find out what i felt seeing one inside the envelope.
God bless my friend.Thank him very much.To honor him i took some photos of it and i am showing my Ek with you guys.Hope you like it to as i am.
