Miro, I appreciate your thorough explanation. It is amazing how much mystery and uncertainty surrounds many of the unknown variants even one hundred years later. That is a great thing about collecting the 1914 EKs - nobody will ever be completely sure about all existing variants. A hobby for a lifetime. :-)

I was looking for these more than two years without any trace, now I secured them both. After 1st class AWS first core I found also the 2nd class. EK2 has the same reverse as 1870er from this maker, so EK1 wasnīt enough

    Great looking cross. Congrats.
I really like this style AWS . I still have not
found a 2nd class like yours to add to my
    meager collection.

    Thanks guys.
Btw, Greg, Iīve never seen 2nd class from 2nd core. Did you ever see them, or is the 2nd core known as 1st class only?

    No, I don't believe I have ever seen a Type2 Ek2.
Interesting question--That is something I had never
    thought before.

I sent an email off to Trevor asking that question.
    If anyone would know--He would.
