Miro, I appreciate your thorough explanation. It is amazing how much mystery and uncertainty surrounds many of the unknown variants even one hundred years later. That is a great thing about collecting the 1914 EKs - nobody will ever be completely sure about all existing variants. A hobby for a lifetime. :-)

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
    myself around.

I was looking for these more than two years without any trace, now I secured them both. After 1st class AWS first core I found also the 2nd class. EK2 has the same reverse as 1870er from this maker, so EK1 wasn´t enough

    Great looking cross. Congrats.
I really like this style AWS . I still have not
found a 2nd class like yours to add to my
    meager collection.

    Thanks guys.
Btw, Greg, I´ve never seen 2nd class from 2nd core. Did you ever see them, or is the 2nd core known as 1st class only?

    No, I don't believe I have ever seen a Type2 Ek2.
Interesting question--That is something I had never
    thought before.

I sent an email off to Trevor asking that question.
    If anyone would know--He would.
