I think that yours is a 1870 made during ww2. Here is a link
that shows a 1st class that appears to match yours.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Thanks !
I did not know they were making 1870's that late !
I've heard of 1813 crosses being made during WWI,
a centennial commemorative, I guess...
Just thought I'd post a recent purchase. I know Greg's seen it before. Private purchase 800 marked vaulted. Inscription translates to "Conceal the longing in your heart with the cross on your breast, Thea"
Cracking collection of 1870's Greg.
Glenn.
Good on you Glenn.
I am glad this one went to a good home. This is one of the most
beautifull engraved crosses I have ever seen. I am sure this
one will find a nice place in your up coming book.

Thanks mate. I'm still jumping hurdles with the book but I'm determined to get there eventually. You'll be first to know!
Hi Chaps, here's my latest EK2. It's another MEH; but with the normal silver frame this time. I couldn't resist this one due to it's full length ribbon & it's lack of paint, due to polishing by the original owner I presume (there's no rust only polish residue) which has given it plenty of character. The MEH core is very different from other EK's, shame it's an unknown maker
Cheers,
Richard.
Here is one that just arrived today. Those of you who frequent
WAF might recognise this one. The owner was selling off some of
his Eks and just could not stand to see this one lost to Ebay.
