Hi Chaps, I thought I'd post my latest. As you can see it's a convex EK1 made by Paul Meybauer of Berlin. It's top quality. I was pleased to get one with a maker mark & the 900 silver mark, Cheers, Richard.

That is a BEAUTIFUL cross Richard.
Meybauer made some of the niceset and this one is no exception. Sharp
details, deep smooth paint, nice patina-----and maker marked.

    Well done,
    Greg

    Hey everyone,

on my recent trip to Munich i picked up a beautiful cased grouping of a 1914 ek1 and 2 along with black and silver wounded badges. I'll post pictures when i can remember to bring home my camera. Anyway, I have no doubt on authenticity, but I do have a question about the EK1. Rather than a traditional pin or screw back, it has 4 mounting rings similar to what you might see on a 1813 or 1870. I have never encountered a 1914 like this before and was wondering if anyone had information about such a cross. I'll post picture soon.

    thanks kindly,
    Jess

We would really need pictures to know for sure. I always look
    forward to seeing new crosses.
