Hi Chaps, here's my latest a EK2 maker marked KM for Königliche Muenzamt, Stuttgart. As you can see it's got a little silvered brass 'sweet heart' saying 'Vergiss Mein Nicht' ('Forget Me Not' basically). The cross is in 'mint' condition & we can only guess to the fate of the original owner, Cheers, Richard.

    Another very nice cross
IMO KM crosses are some of the nicest quality pieces and finding
marked examples is not an easy thing to do.

    congrats.

Not too sure about the sweetheart pin. the ring looks like a
modern keychain ring but I would leave it on anyway.

Hi Greg, yeah you're right the KM's are great quality. I was pleased to get one. Yeah, I see what you mean about the sweetheart; but it came that way, so I'll leave it. I don't know when those type of rings were patented; be interesting to find out. The rings not chromed & has got some age. As for the heart it's showing plenty of wear & tear. I don't suppose I'll ever know for sure, Cheers, Richard.

Hi Greg, I've done a bit of research around the split keyrings & they were invented in the 19th century. So I suppose it's possibly o.k., Cheers, Richard.

Hi Chaps, here's my latest. A standard KO made EK1. The KO's aren't a favourite of mine; but I liked this example. It's showing a bit of wear; but I prefer that with the repros about!!! Cheers, Richard.

Hi Greg, I must admit it does look good in the slightly worn 'Bavarian' style EK1 case, Cheers, Richard.

DUJAILAH and Chopperman, i like the been there, done that, look of the 'KO' marked crosses, which more often as not is due to bad paint finish !....DUJAILAH your new crosses are fine additions to any collection.
