    German rings of the period should be marked '800'
    or '900' in European fashion. I would guess that
    this is a so-called biker ring.........

    the 925 silver mark was used mostly since After the 2nd World War ended...as said, European silver of the era was mostly 800,830,835,850. A good silver piece may be 900, but almost never 925.
