Imperial German WW1 Fighting Knife - Officer Model?

Gentlemen, would the below qualify as a sound Officer version Imperial fighting knife?
Chromed birdhead pommel and guard with false bayonet lock button.
Steel scabbard has traces of the black paint remaining.
Blade is 6", unmarked, made of polished steel, has not been sharpened and still has a sharp point (hmmmm)...

This is a private purchased knife, manufactured till into the 30ies, (They´re al lot of different pattern dagger´s like this "on the market" !).

Everybody was able to get such knives, (enlisted men also), and they bought them even in the PX !

Knives like this were still in use in the Weimar-Republic.

During WWII in the Wehrmacht a "new generation" of fighting knives was introduced !

Great looking collection you've got there. Lots of doubles you could eventually sell or trade-off which gives you plenty of flexibility to further expand your collection.
To be honest with you--and I'm sure you'd agree--I prefer the issued models better (like the Hammesfahr or Demag), especially the crank handle version...
I've seen you've got plenty of those too; anytime you'd care to sell one, let me know!

Ron, there are´nt any "doubles", (maybe I posted one twice ?) !
All of these private purchased knives are different to each other !

I do have some more of them and IMO they´re the same interesting and collectible as issued trench knives !

Hey Reibert,
By 'doubles' I meant ones with very similar features... But I guess each is unique to you. As a collector myself, I can imagine how one can become passionately attached to those things.
I'm trying to focus on Wartime issued German Imperial collectibles for now (I used to collect anything German military WW2 but now I'm into WW1).
For instance, I ended-up buying that Gottlieb Hammesfahr issued fighting knife I showed you previously (thanks to your help!).

Do you collect Imperial swords too? I recently posted an issued 1916 Prussian Artillery Mann. sword in another thread on this Forum that I'd like to find a knot/portepee for. Maybe you could help me there?
