myself around.
Nice.
The Hungarian medal looks good and has a great heft to it.
Nice Baden bar steve...
Nice set of Imperial medals Steve !
The two Baden medals as you point out are :-
Silver Medal of Merit in zinc (Verdienstmedaille), with depiction of Friedrich II, 1916-1918.
This medal can be traced back to 1769 when the then Grand Duke Karl-Friedrich awarded both a big and small Silver Medal of Merit. The version showing Grand Duke Friedrich II was awarded after 1907 to the end of the war in 1918. After 1916,due to shortages, the medal was made in silvered copper, or a zinc alloy.
The other Baden medal is the Jubilee Medal (Jubiläums-Medaille) of 1902, issued to celebrate the jubilee of the the 50 year reign of Grand Duke Friedrich of Baden, it was awarded to those who had distinguished themselves in public service.
Not that often seen on bars.....usually loose medals.
Thanks for showing................
