    Default Imperial Miscellany

OK guys--Here's a new idea for a thread.

Many of us who display our collections, also end up with the
odd bits and pieces (not actual militaria) that we display with
the good stuff. You know what I mean, the model airplane
or the beer stein or hip flask. That kind of thing. So let's see
    what you've got.

I'll start out this little Elastolin figure.

Nice display Thanks for posting it. What is the tall
brass piece? I am guessing some sort of whistle.

Here is a brass wall plaque of a Ek and a old wood box.
The box has the neatest art deco hardware on it and while
not really imperial it's still kind of cool.

Chopperman, nice EK related pieces...the tall brass thingy is a piece of 'Trench Art' made by my wifes grandfather during WW1, its made from a cartridge case and is a 'silver sixpenny piece' (old Brit money) money box (spot the slot for posting the coin into).

Interesting trench art. Not like the ones I'm used to seeing.

My last two pieces.----I can't believe no one else wants
    to play along.

Hi Greg, I missed this thread when it was first up. So here's my contribution. I inherited the cabinet from my Grandmother (it was made for her mother around 1900). Anyway, it didn't look very good empty so I put some bits in it. Got a bit out of hand I suppose, Cheers, Richard.
