Default interested in buying a WW1 German "butcher bayonet"

Hello, here is Julekpl again, this time, I need a bit help with the so-called "butcher bayonet". I am interested on bidding on one at a live auction, but I am not sure what to look out for when inspecting it for authenticity. Here is a picture of the bayonet I am interested in, the second one from the top. I noticed that the wooden handle has possibly been replaced, it's missing the engraved grip. Other than that, I am not sure about these. Any information on it will help.

    Thank you

I cannot get a better picture either, because these are taken by the auctioneers themselves.

No scabbard, possibly replaced grips, and it is also missing the button.
I wouldn't go crazy with this one.

If it was complete - even without the scabbard - I'd say no more
than $70 or $80, but as it is no more than $40 if you've got
to have it. There are still plenty of these around.

    Just my two cents.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

It looks like the release button is missing too.
    I would pass on it.

    Regards

    Edit: I was to slow.

As the others have said, this one has Way too many negatives with it. Personally, I'd look for a sawtooth butcher, myself. Impressive and Mean looking things. And coming from the WWI, one has to sit and hold it and wonder "How many times has this thing been run through someones guts?"...awesome pieces... William

    Hi, Jule !

If you are still interested in a butcher bayonet, I do have some in my collection I do not need no more.

Im looking for Army issued US M9 bayonets.
    Maybe we can swap ?

    Best,

Reibert, I traded 2 of my only M9 bayonets a few weeks ago, I have sold almost all of my British and American militaria for German and Russian. Thanks for the offer though
