Interesting EK 2nd awarded Posthumous? in very strange case

Hi Guys,

I keep finding these weird ones.
I have never seen this type of case.
I do not understand the case?
Is it Posthumous ?

Here is what it is EK 2nd class marked on ring 800 & CD or GD.
Burgandy case marked:
zur erinnerung an nieine Kriegszeit im res. inf. regt nr 74

Best I can get out of this is:

to the memory of nieine Wartime in
res. inf. regt nr 74


Masbe one of you can explain this one?

Case's style appears like many cigar/cigarette cases I have seen before. Note the similar shape/construction of the one below from this website
