Evening, gents
Could anybody pls explane me, what kind of WW1 EK2 this is?
It is bigger than EK2´s of WW1 era - reportedly the same size as EK2´s from WW2.
Any ideas why it is like this - bigger? And what about producer?

Its an Imperial EK2 made in the Third Reich era and using Third Reich frames. It doesn't have the 'Schinkel' shape commonly seen with Imperial EKs.
It's a very nice looking cross and ribbon.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
An excellent variant....with an Austrian style tri-fold ribbon, nice !
Prost ! Steve.
That's a nice cross.
I believe that this one was made by AWS, "A. Werner & Sohne"
They used a very distinctive style of crown and were know to have made crosses
in the larger TR size.

myself around.
Have to agree with the above comments.
Nice cross.........!

Steve.
Bought it - thanks to your good advice and information
Had to fight for, and costs me finally ca 75 euros
Soon will take and load up a comparison picture: this bigger EK1914 with regular 1914 and 1939 together in the row.
So - my new 1914 EK2 in the middle, between his new mates
You can see, its really bigger - probably the new boss of my gang
Great comparison.
Now you need to get a Prinzen cross so you can show all three sizes.
