Article about: Hi I'm Scott and live in the Southern USA. I am interested in all things Imperial,and focus my collection on Enlisted Medal Bars. Here are a few pics of some of the bars in my collection. I

    Baden bar for teh Franco Prussain war. I'm not sure what the black ribbon affixed to the back represents






    Officers 'between the wars bar'. I love the Gilded Zentarmedallie






    An EK2 and Hamburg Hanseatic combo

    Scott....again, great early medals ! I would say the black ribbon is attached to show the receipient has passed away...and the bar would be either displayed in the home of the deceased or worn on special occasion by next of kin/widow.
