The cross was originally a Screwback that has been converted to a Pinback...I have one of these conversions in my collection as well...well done, an interesting cross with character!

I like them as they're all unique...especially when it's a quality-workmanship, period conversion such as the one shown...

Very interesting if you can't get a replacement screwback convert it to pin can't help but to think of the reasons why could have been done in the trenches.I have not seen this before thanks for showing both medals.
