I was bidding an Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918, lost. On the next day, a guy from an auction I was bidding on, wrote to me. Offered me some more crosses, I asked for the list of his items, and as you can see, among them, there was a König Ludwig-Kreuz, not as good looking as HPL2008 examples, but okay.

Would it be a genuine one?

I see nothing wrong with it.

Whether you should buy it or not solely depends on the price.

The ribbon is pretty battered on this one, and these crosses are not very rare.

If the seller is asking too much, you should wait for one in better condition to appear.

    Hi,

can only agree, nice cross, but it is not especially scarce (I have sold 4 or 5 pieces during last year). Three material versions exist: oxided bronze, blackened iron and dark lacquered zinc.

    regards
