    So I think it is!
    The old bugger is not in the greatest condition, that makes it difficult to see what the markings under the chin strap are; but I am pretty sure to read K7.

    But never the less, it still has it's original liner:

    Only one original washer left on the spike attachement, as you can see on previous pic.
    And so much more remarks could be made, but hey look at thise!
    Doesn't it look great!

    I think the plate is a Kürassier's plate, but probably not the original..

    It looks better than great!
    Funny, how when you are used to the 'standard' short back configuration, that this 'Lobsterback' shape pops out at you (if thats the correct term in regards to Pickelhauben).
    Thanks for posting a fine example of true old world craftmanship made just before the world went mad......

    I'm glad I've never caught the Picklehaube bug (I have caught the Kratchen and stalhelm ones) as I would be very jealous of you owning this one. A great find!!
