That is a very nice sword. Is there a makers mark on the blade.

There is a Z in a shield on the blade under the cross guard.
Yes it looks just like the small one with the yellowish hue in your picture.
What do you make of the "K"? The owner?
Almost certainly, the "K" likely stands for the owner's last name.
