Default M15 Saxon Pickelhaube, possibly unissued

Here's a nice Saxon M15 Helmet that I've had in my collection for approximately 4-years. The pewter finish is exceptionally nice on the metal fittings, and the original lacquer still remains on the finish of the helmet.

I have the non-serrated Saxon & National Kokarde set for it, which I acquired separately.

After 4-years, I wonder if I will ever find a mint chinstrap for it, to complete the helmet...

For being 100 years old. That Haube shows no signs of age???
    Are there any markings?
I know that these are also reproduced, and that Argentina still uses these the picklehaubes for there honor guards. But have not looked into them to be an expert. They will be along shortly.

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, there are size and maker marks inside the helmet.

I've tried to photograph them as best as I could, but they are faint. Size "57 1/2" is more visible. The maker mark is in a rectangle shape box, and faint.

After doing a quick search on the maker marks on file with Joe Robinson on his website: "Colonel J's, I believe the maker mark in my helmet is: "A. Wunderlich --Berlin".

    Here's a photo from Joe Robinson's website:

    Wow, Alan.
They don't get much nicer than that.
