M16 and a decent one as well, shame about the liner, does it still have its leather liner ring or are the liner pins the only parts remaining, chin straps would be the type used on the picklehaub helmets, and you can get these, but they are heavily reproduced now, not a bad buy for $100

Al...it is a German Model 1917 (M17) Stahlhelm..evident by the metal liner band (liner pads were crimped onto this type of liner band) as M16's had a leather one....maker and size marked "BF 62" is "F.C. Bellinger of Fulda" who only made sizes 62 and 64, it is a nice helmet !

Yes Steve is correct as always on WW1 helmets, i was under the impression it was a leather liner,sorry , still nice though
