This is a super small size 60 ET M17 German Helmet that I purchased earlier this year. It has a steel mill stamp R1550 in the dome of the shell. Unfortunately no liner but these little shells are quite hard to acquire so Iím happy to take it as is. I love the size of the vent lugs and whoever wore it must have had a small head or have been a very young recruit because a liner would have made it an even tighter fit!

Lots of original field green paint inside but looks a bit like the exterior may have been scrubbed or cleaned at some point as I can see some darker paint in a few spots. I placed it beside a relic battle damaged size 66 (either M16/17) for comparison.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Great helmet Andrew - this would be nice in any size, but so small it has the massive lugs on the side which make it really unusual. Even Frankenstein would be a little envious of this one!

    Thanks Nick!

Yes, the lugs are so pronounced it’s almost comical. My wife calls it the “toy helmet”
