    Simply awesome find Doug,the condition to mask and canister is top draw,very well done on acquiring something nearly a century old,also your photo shoots are mind blowing,what a pro you are Bud...........thanks for sharing............

    Hi Doug,

    A very nice find indeed - especially with the additional clip-on filter which was introduced in 1918. I've never seen a canister with a leather strap before, they are usually of a cotton/canvas type material. maybe a modification by the owner at the time? Looking at the close-up of the strap it certainly looks to be the work of a 'squaddie'
