A M1895 Mannlicher bayonet made by the Austrian Steyr company. The frog is incorrect repro. As for the Lion on the ricasso identifying it as Bulgarian contract, it does look a little different from struck marks I have seen. Has it been added recently? I'm not sure. The "38 38" marks probably WW2 era.
There should be a mark on the scabbard "foot", that can't be seen in the photos.
Thanks for the help!
It is very difficult to find an authentic bayonet from the First world war with a Bulgarian lion who has no repairs
Thanks for the help!
I will continue to search until I find a good one.
The bayonet is pre WW1 bulgarian contract, but refurbished postwar for M95/34, the frog could be late post WW2 or repro. b.r.Andy
