"The German Army is the perfectly adapted, perfectly running Machine. The difference is that the Germans are organised with a view to War...with the cold, hard, practical and business-like purpose of winning victories."
G.W. Steevens - The Daily Mail (1897)
Well not much info on the makers.
I have sent the images to a well known German enthusiast who should be able to identify makers. There are key differences between the WWI and WWII versions, as many 'upgrades' were applied to WWI MG to serve 'between the wars' or into WWII. This image is a great exampe of things 'added' to WWI MG eqpt.
